The Benchmade 8 Hook is a one handed webbing cutter made from one piece of440C Stainless Steel. Its design offers a one handed grip that lets the user securely hold the cutter even under wet or slippery conditions. The small knife is strong enough to be used for defense (in a pinch) without adding too much weight to the set. The Boker A-F Combat II Black Knife is a reissue of the Applegate - Fairbairn Fighting Knife. The Boker A-F Combat II has a fiberglass reinforced Delrin handle, that is larger in the center for a good grip with many styles of holding the knife. Ther is a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. We were asked to review this Survival II Card pocket tool from Tool Logic. This version is in blue with a red LED light. Other models have a Compass / Magnifying Lens instead of the light, or a gray smoke color card. This handy little tool has enough useful features that it would be an excellent addition to any first aid or survival kit. I was impressed as soon as I opened the package with this emergency headlamp.

It seems very well made and ready for rugged use.
We plan to put this light to the test over the next few months,including a trip to Cental America and various outings around the US.

Between 60 & 70% of US tungsten consumption is used in the manufacture of new carbide. Last year, tungsten recovered from scrap accounted for 31% of tungsten consumption by US processors and end users.
The rest was imported; 43% of the import was from China. China has approximately 65% of the worlds known tungsten reserves and last year produced 86% of the newly mined tungsten, world wide.

China is also the worlds largest tungsten consumer. The Chinese Government, in order to conserve its resources and meet its increasing domestic demand, has limited tungsten production and exports while increasing tungsten imports. These policies are expected to continue.
